Seeing life as one continuous thread of connection, photographer and artist Pipe Yanguas has dedicated his career to revealing how everything in existence is linked—from human relationships to the natural and cosmic worlds. Through photography, painting, and muralism, Yanguas’ Dots and Lines World celebrates the invisible ties that unite atoms, trees, cultures, galaxies, and people. His guiding belief, “We are all connected,” runs through every image and every brushstroke.

Born in Cali, Colombia, Yanguas grew up surrounded by creativity and nature, often at his family farmhouse or assisting his father in their local jewelry business. At fifteen, his family relocated to Miami, where he later earned a business degree from the University of Miami and studied residential design at The Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. Influenced by architecture and interior design, he developed a deep sensitivity to space, light, and composition—principles that would become central to his art.

In 2007, after a period in the corporate world, Yanguas followed his lifelong calling to photography. He studied at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, where he began capturing the essence of people and moments with authenticity and light. His imagery quickly attracted international attention, leading to collaborations with global fashion and lifestyle brands such as Vivienne Westwood and Vogue Italy.

As a photographer, Yanguas became best known for his PHOTObiographies—intimate visual narratives documenting his clients’ lives over time. By photographing them year after year in environments that reflect their deepest connections, Yanguas tells personal stories centered on love, purpose, and belonging. Each printed PHOTObiography is a living archive of connection between people, places, and memories.

The global pause of 2020 brought new creative introspection. While spending time at his family’s farmhouse in Colombia, Yanguas immersed himself in painting and muralism. What emerged was his visionary Dots and Lines World—an artistic language that communicates the fundamental connectedness of all things. Through simple yet profound compositions of dots and lines, he explores how connection manifests in nature’s design, from the microscopic structures of atoms to the vast geometry of galaxies.

His murals and installations—spanning Colombia, Havana, Miami, Guatemala City, Dubai, and Madrid—transform public and private spaces into visual meditations on unity and interdependence. Each piece is both a study of form and a message of collective harmony, guided by his second motto: “Together we are infinite.”

Today, Yanguas continues to travel and create between Miami and the world, bridging art and life through the universal language of connection. Whether behind the camera or before a canvas, his purpose remains the same—to remind the world that every line drawn and every moment captured is part of one infinite design.
