Pipe Yanguas’ work is about connection. Dot.
Connections between neurons give shape to ideas. Line.
The connection of notes and beats allows a musician to compose a musical piece. Dot.
The connection of letters, dots, and lines allows a novelist to write.
The connection of steps gives narrative, sequence, and meaning to a dancer.
The connection of words gives rise to a speech. A revolution. A movement.
The connection of scattered stars guides the magician. The sailor. The astrologer. The astronomer.
The connection of scattered facts allows an investigator to solve a case.
The connection between ancestors and descendants allows us to trace a lineage and carry a legacy forward.
Connection is the very essence of the DNA that unites and shapes us.
Connection is always a current. A flow.
One day, in the river of life, I heard Pipe Yanguas say: “Don't flow with the river, be the flow.”
Now it’s your turn to flow through his art.
