“Desert Bloom” draws inspiration from the flowering of the Atacama Desert, when an apparently barren landscape reveals an unexpected abundance of life. Against a finely worked silver ground, larger marks in indigo, white, and earthy red suggest petals or seeds emerging across the surface. Their scattered presence recalls a terrain beginning to bloom, where what seemed dormant becomes visible. The work reflects on the relationships and conditions that allow life to flourish, finding in this desert phenomenon an image of possibility: growth can arise where we have not yet learned to recognize its potential.
