Le Art Noir

Presented during Miami Art Week 2022 at the Marshall L. Davis Sr. African Heritage Cultural Arts Center, Le Art Noir featured a selection of works by Pipe Yanguas exploring interconnectedness through his distinctive visual language of dots and lines. As part of his participation, Yanguas created a live, site-specific wall intervention, hand-painting dots and lines around his exhibited artworks during the event. The installation gradually evolved as the individual pieces became connected through the surrounding walls, transforming the exhibition space into an expanded composition. The performance extended the artist’s exploration of connection beyond the boundaries of individual artworks, inviting visitors to witness the transformation of the exhibition in real time.
